Enough lies, here’s the real truth, manifesting is easy af. I mean, if you just tell me to take pen and paper and write all my desires, I can do it, but what we don’t talk about is cultivating the mindset to actually claim that abundance.
I’ve struggled with a scarcity mindset for a long time. I just couldn’t convincet that mass of neurons and nerves that yes, I came from absolutely nothing, but I deserve a comfortable and secure life, something I’d never experienced.
So yes, it’s easy to use all these manifestation methods, such as 3-6-9; however, until you cultivate the right mindset, you won’t be able to manifest abundance in your reality.
Am I driving a Porsche and living in a penthouse? Far from it, but I’ve come a long way, and I want us to do this together. I want us to build our dream life, manifest abundance, but until then, here’s the first step…
We will look at the importance of cultivating an abundant mindset, daily habits you can use to rewire your brain for abundance, and a quick recap of practices for each focus area.
Let’s cultivate an abundant mindset together, ready?

Manifesting abundance? What is it?
Manifesting is the act of bringing forth from your vision, from your mind, to reality; it’s not just in the tangible but also in the emotions.
When you manifest you begin by feeling and then touching.
We’re all born with this innate ability, we’re co-creators of the universe.
But it doesn’t always feel that way right?
Look at it this way, the building you’re in was someone’s vision, so is the phone you’re using, and the car you drive to work. Long ago, it was a dream, something unseen until someone thought abundantly.
So yes it can be hard however when you’re able to hone in on this ability you can attract an abundance of anything in your life be it:
- Opportunities.
- Love.
- Money.
- Free lattes…just saying… anything
But the real question is what sets aside the people who can do this from the rest of the population? I have a rough idea…
Why mindset is key to manifesting abundance!
Apparently, or according to TED talks, successful people have one thing in common: a mindset. These people believe they could before they did, they held the vision and rallied behind it.
Now, two things are obvious: one, success is relative to each person; two, you might start giving all the reasons the successful succeed, like hard work, a silver spoon, and all that stuff.
And you may be right… But you know what set them aside from a bunch of people in the same position…yeah .. yeah..
I hate it too.. but it was their abundant mindset.
This is starting to sound like a pep talk I am giving myself and you… So let’s go back to the topic at hand.
But before that, I hate to give my sobby tale of how I came from an underprivileged African home where food was the priority every day, but it’s relevant, and how I couldn’t even go to university…but again, it’s relevant, and here’s why.
When you have a scarcity-driven mindset that you develop from social conditioning it’s hard to manifest abundance, it doesn’t matter how many manifestation techniques you use.
Because for a long time I felt undeserving… And even when I didn’t, I still had to loop over all those conditioned thoughts of “at least I ate 3 times today, it wasn’t balanced, but who cares?”
And maybe you’ve felt the same when it came to love, or maybe your favorite bakery is always out of chocolate cookie chips when you stop by and you believe you’ve an unlucky omen.
So what is the difference between a scarce and an abundant mindset?
| Scarce Mindset. | Abundant mindset. |
| Theres not enough opportunities. | I am always surrounded by opportunities. |
| Money only circulates to the corrupt and lucky. | The economy is always circulating to everyone. |
| All good men are taken. | There’s plenty of great single men. |
| My life is so boring . | Life is so diverse and I get to choose how to have fun. |
Daily habits to help you cultivate an abundant mindset.
Before we look into various focus areas let’s see a few daily habits that will help you slowly shift your thoughts from scarcity to abundance.
Spoiler alert: this isn’t magic, it won’t happen in a day or week, you can’t undo years of strong neuropathways(scarcity beliefs) in a jiffy, it’s a long-term commitment.
You must be in it for the long haul, you won’t wake up and think like Jeff Bezos in your startup or a couple with a successful marriage while you’re unsure of love.
I still catch those scarce beliefs in my stream of thought every day and that’s the first step, so here you go:
These are a scope of daily habits you don’t have to try and practice all at a go, in fact I advise picking one and intentionally doing it.
1. Develop an awareness of your thoughts.
I want you to CIA your thoughts, become an intent observer.
How do you truly feel about abundance? Your thoughts and feelings will tell you plenty, but you have to notice them.
My mum and I were jokingly talking about how this guy paid 140× the hospital fee that we normally would to get his tooth removed in this A-class hospital where the “elites go”, the fee was scandalous, more so in my head. In fact, it made me dizzy as to why, why would he? Luckily he had insurance.
I still can’t fathom but I observed and realized this was me reacting from my scarce Mindset because why not? The service must have been superb.
Develop an awareness of your thoughts and reactions towards abundance this is the first step.
2. Come up with a gratitude practice.
I want you to start showing gratitude, regardless of where you are in this journey. I don’t care if you’re thankful for your 3 meals, your brand new car, or even letting go of your ex.
Start where you’re all abundant in whatever big or little way you might be living in your car, but you’re healthy, that’s something.
I used to think that giving gratitude for being able to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, even if it was noodles, as a form of complacency to my circumstances, but it’s not.
First, be grateful; second, claim your stake in more.
So choose a gratitude practice that works for you:
- Gratitude Journaling.
- Gratitude praying.
- Gratitude thoughts.
Each morning inhale and exhale gratitude before you interact with the world and think of scarcity.
3. Manifesting abundance affirmations.
Affirmations don’t work for everyone, but I am one of those, so before you determine that you must and should try.
Create just three affirmations in relation to the abundance you’re manifesting i.e
- I am surrounded by love and joy.
- Money is always circulating to me, it’s refilling my bank account.
- I attract great opportunities with so much ease.
Write them down on a sticky note, place it on your bedside table or mirror, or journal, and recite them in the morning before the world tries to corrupt your thoughts on gratitude.
For those of us who don’t view affirmations as productive (again, you must try for at least 2-3 weeks), I suggest trying a focus wheel.
Take a clean sheet of paper, draw a circle at the center, and outside the circle, divide twelve sections that you can write into.
At the very center, input on the goal you’re manifesting, and then in the first section on the outside of the wheel, write your first weak pep statement, a.k.a affirmation.
If your goal is a new car or your first-ever car, start with.
- A brand new car would be nice.
- Why can’t I get a new car?
- It would feel so nice to drive myself in that comfortable red Toyota anywhere.
The goal of a focus wheel is to build momentum and strengthen that abundant neuropathy by starting somewhere.
For example, your last statement could be I am deserving of my Red Toyota….
You get to decide you get to amplify the affirmative statement as you go from 1 to 12, and by the time you’re done, the goal at the center won’t seem too intimidating.
Do this however often you need to tap into that state of abundance.
4. State akin to sleep visualization.
Neville Goddard, who’s among the founding fathers of the Concept of the law of attraction, taught how to visualize right before we drift to sleep to attract our desires into reality.
Science now confirms that when in the theta brain wave (in a state of complete relaxation), it actually makes the subconscious mind more susceptible to suggestions.
And guess what the subconscious mind is the key player behind how abundant or scarce you feel and think.
So, right before you drift off to sleep or while meditating, see yourself living in your goal.
If you’re not one to have vivid imaginations try creating a mind movie or vision board. The latter is better.
5. Reframe your words.
If most of us were placed in a perfectly utopian world we would still find something to complain about, why?
Because it’s a human default we are more wired to focus on survival, and fear, it’s like we’re still fighting for food and a cave in our heads, this is why…
You must train yourself to start seeing safety and abundance of resources we’re no longer in the jungle running after predators remind your brain.
One of my most powerful reframes has been with my words.
Because what happens is you get a scarce thought and before you know it words like “I can’t buy that I am broke escape your mouth.” Woah!
Why are you identifying with scarcity? Instead, go for “it’s not a priority right now.” This is what I use.
Buying that dress is not a priority right now but next time it will be.
Alright let’s now look at various focus areas you may want to attract abundance into:
Tips to actually manifest abundance by cultivating the right mindset in specific areas.
1. Abundance in love.
Hey Jane you’re not unlucky in love throw that thought out of the window instead try these simple practices:
- Proximity: if you didn’t grow up seeing loving parents, look for a couple/s that represents what you want, look for proof online or in person (even better), look for a yes, it’s possible.
- Experience dating: take that inspired action, don’t sit home in your PJs, go out there in environments where your ideal partner would be, stay open.
- Understand the mirror effect: do your inner work, have loads of self-worth because your future partner will mirror you.
2. Abundance in finances.
Don’t we all want more money, more freedom? Here are a few tips to attract abundance in finances.
- Smile as you spend: yes, yes, each time you spend or whenever you remember, show gratitude for whatever money has gotten you, is it electricity? A cheeseburger? Show some damn gratitude. Money is an energy.
- Affirmize as you spend: whenever you buy something, repeat this statement, “I always receive 10× more of what I spend.”
- Create safety in your body: there’s a lot of inner work that goes around money, especially when you come from a lack of it, and one is learning how to feel safe in your body, regulate your nervous system, money loves safety.
- Celebrate when you receive: whenever you receive money, no matter how small, be grateful, think good thoughts, such as “money is always flowing to me.”
3. Abundance in opportunities.
It’s not just enough to think of yourself as someone who always attracts opportunities add the following:
- Reframe being bypassed: if an opportunity passes you, don’t sulk; instead, reframe it with “an even better and aligned opportunity is on its way to me.”
- Be expansive: we’re surrounded by chances most of us just don’t see, so become expansive, get in the habit of asking “what else is possible, what other hidden blessings for me are lurking?”
- Be open to receive: I once got a client from fan girling and sending a TikTok dm, so stay open to surprise opportunities.
Final thoughts.
Does this feel like the beginning of something new for you? I can’t wait to try manifesting abundance in my finances, especially when it comes to feeling gratitude for spending.
Those were my two cents, yes, it’s easy to manifest, but especially so when you’ve already cultivated abundant thoughts, “rich thoughts.”
Tell me, dear reader, in which area do you feel like you struggle with the concept of abundance in the comments section below?
