Best YouTube Channels to Level Up as a Black Woman.

Lately, I’ve been noticing that more people prefer to consume short-form content(I love it too), but we shouldn’t miss the real gold (connection & wisdom) that lies in long-form content.

Which is why today I want to pass forth my favorite YouTube channels to level up as a black woman, especially in your 20s.

I have constantly interacted with these channels by black women and for black women, and the impact that these black sisters have had on my life is insane…

I truly hope they can impart their wisdom on you, too.

We can always learn something from each other and this is an awesome way to replace doom scrolling.

Best YouTube channels by black women for black women.

The YouTube channels (mostly by black women creators) are subdivided into five categories depending on the core message of each creator.

Section A: Femininity and soft living.

1. Awwlexis.

Awwlexis by Alexis is such a soft channel about feminine energy. You’ll begin moving more softly just from listening to her.

Her channel exudes softness in a modern world you will learn how to date, make money, and do everything from a place of feminine energy.

Alexis has taught me the following: you can build a soft business like she has, and second, you should definitely do your inner work, third, have standards when it comes to dating, you should expect a provider man with good character.

2. Life with the Fergusons.

Life with the Fergusons is a family channel with spiritual, femininity, and matrimonial content.

Amanda Ferguson teaches women how to live (motherhood, career, family) in softness and in Christ; occasionally, her husband Jonathan Ferguson also joins her, and they share matrimonial insights.

Listening to her will mold you into a woman of grace and elegance.

My favorite lesson thus far is that a woman of grace and softness doesn’t spew words of anger, hatefulness, and vengeance; she takes her time to process her emotions because she knows you can’t take words back.

3. Lorri-Luxxe.

Lorraine, the voice behind this channel, teaches women how to attract wealth and abundance using their feminine energy. She’s not about hustle culture, and if you want the same, watch her channel.

As a curvaceous black woman, she also teaches her audience how to dress in a modest and feminine manner that accentuates your best features.

One of Lorraine’s videos that resonates with me the most is how to stay in your feminine energy as a single mum, because I am also one and I know that most of the time we’re in survival mode.

Section B: Finance and business.

4. Aspire by Emma Grede.

This is a podcast on everything business, career building, and resilience by Emma Grede, who is recognized by Forbes as one of America’s richest self-made women. She’s a serial entrepreneur.

Emma brings women who are on top of their game and they generously share their journey and insights with us.

My favorite guests of late have been the founder of Poppi, Allison Ellsworth, the drink that women can’t seem to stop drinking, and the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.

This channel is an absolute gold vault for my ambitious babes.

5. The Afnan khalifa.

Afnan teaches women the power of branding,  strategies to succeed online, and make sales.

If you’re building a brand, her content will not only teach you a thing or two, but her luxurious vlogs might also inspire you.

She’s currently in Dubai and I am loving the vlogs.

Afnan was born in Saudi Arabia, where women aren’t encouraged to be ambitious, and at 18, she moved to Canada to study, all while paying her bills and her family’s.

I really found that inspiring as someone from Africa, I understand that it takes true resilience to rise when you come from nothing.

I guarantee that you’ll be injected with motivation.

Section C: Beauty and lifestyle.

6. By: Candice Jones.

Candice has awesome beauty content, especially when it comes to hair. If you’re a diy girlie, you’ll love her channel.

Aside from beauty content she also vlogs awesome lifestyle content.

7. Breonna Queen.

Breonna is the ultimate go-to girl for beauty, fashion, and glow-up tips.

She will teach you how to look put together not just outwardly but also inwardly.

Can we ever have enough Beauty hacks? I don’t think so.

Section D: Mindset glow up.

8. She’s So Lucky.

She’s So Lucky is a podcast by Les Alfred that is so full circle, you find anything and everything on womanhood and leveling up on this channel.

Les keeps us on our toes, and I love it because life is 360, it’s dating, career, healing, discipline, etc.

And the guests are on fire from the likes of Gabrielle Union, I love it all, honestly.

This podcast will help you grow in multiple areas of your life as a black woman.

9. Dr.Tracey Marks.

I first came across Dr. Tracey’s channel when searching for how to rewire your brain, she’s a psychiatrist with over 20+ years of experience.

Dr. Tracey will teach you how to understand your mind and make it your best friend.

If you’re curious about how your mind influences your behavior and overall life quality, start here.

I firmly believe that a glow up starts up here 🧠.

10. Kaylyn Stone.

Kaylyn’s channel is a reminder not to lose yourself completely in motherhood and all those in between when life is happening.

She helps women to rebrand their lives, build discipline and confidence, and overall just pour into themselves.

I relate so much with her content because it’s easy to self-abandon oneself as a mum, wife, career woman without even realizing it.

She will help you aspire anew and be intentional with yourself.

Section E: Fitness.

11.PS FIT.

During my first postpartum year, I was a full-time stay-at-home mum, and I honestly just wanted to lose my baby fat and feel like myself again, light and flexible. I wasn’t in a position to go to the gym so I did home workouts.

And the results after consistently showing up that first year, getting in daily 30 minutes of either cardio, dance, or pilates with just my body weight, awed me.

PS Fit has a curation of different at-home workouts from various instructors, such as dance, weights, meditation, etc. You’ll love it and meet those goals.

My favorite workout is this 30-minute Caribbean dance workout to move those hips😉.

12. Lastly, Growwithjo.

Growwithjo is by far my most favorite fitness channel as a stay-at-home mum, and it still would be if I weren’t.

Why? She has the most inclusive workouts, you could throw someone in for their first ever workout and she’d pull through and with consistency eat up her goals.

She also has lazy workouts for those days when you just want to stand and get it done.

I’ve worked out with so many of her videos, whether it was a slow pilates or a high-intensity workout, and she’s transformed how I view moving my body.

If you can’t tell, yes, yes, I love her channel.

Final words…
