Your soft Sunday reset routine for calm and productivity.

In recent years, statistics have shown that over 50% of working women suffer from burnout and struggle to achieve a work-life balance.Impact-Site-Verification: 311a49ad

Do I have the solution to how we can regain balance? Absolutely not well just one.

Could a soft Sunday reset routine be a first step to getting your life in order? To achieve balance?

As a full-time stay-at-home toddler mum, blogger, and chore doer, Sunday resets keep me sane, so yeah, I believe it is.

In this article, we shall delve into what a Sunday reset routine is, why it matters for you, and how to create one.

Shall we?

What is a soft Sunday reset?

Hmm, lovely question, we all love Sunday, right? If not I am about to change your mind.

This is the one day where you can get away with almost anything: you can get away with eating junk food and staying in your PJs all day, or spending a questionable amount on girls’ brunch, but here’s the best part: you get to decide.

A  soft Sunday reset routine is a list of activities that rejuvenate you, and allow you to plan for the week ahead to be calm and productive.

Basically, we are all about soft living over here.

Pin 📌 this for later.

Does every woman need a Sunday reset routine?

Do you need a Sunday reset routine? Freaking yes and here’s why:

1.It reduces overwhelm.

In current times, we are always on the move, and admittedly, most women juggle a lot on their plates, whether you are a stay-at-home mum, an entrepreneur, an employed person, or even a student.

You get to have a day where you don’t have to rush, one day where you can sip your chamomile tea and write the upcoming week’s to-do list.

2. It brings order to your environment.

Although I personally prefer to clean my space on other days, a little dusting and touch-up on Sunday goes a long way in bringing coherence to my week.

3. It enhances mental clarity.

Here’s a funny story. Ever since I started to write my to-do list on Sunday night before sleeping, I feel paralyzed if I don’t. I fear that I might wake up on Monday as if I have been tossed in a matrix.

So, that’s a definite yes to mental clarity and, dare I say, sanity!

4. It aligns with your feminine energy flow.

You get to honor your feminine energy and support it through practicing self-care, resting, and planning for the next week.

5. It helps you stay consistent without burnout.

A Sunday reset checklist means that you get to start your week softly and with conviction as opposed to survival mode. You’re more likely to show up and that too consistently.

You’re more likely to show up and that too consistently.

6. It boosts confidence and self-worth.

Is there a louder reinforcement of self-love than intentionally creating a soft reset routine that promotes calm and productivity all week long?

The ultimate soft Sunday reset routine.

Ready to pour back into yourself? And set the tone for the upcoming week?

Here’s a Sunday routine that I use and one that you can tweak to fit your needs. It’s not rigid; swap what doesn’t work for you.

1. Ease into the morning.

This is the one day where you don’t have to get the kids ready for school or rush to get dressed, embrace a slow morning.

Forgo the alarm and let your body wake up when it’s ready.

2. Have a tech-free morning.

Here’s a challenge for the first hour of waking up don’t do any screen time, meaning no phone, laptop, or TV.

In an age where we have become so overdependent on gadgets and allergic to silence, this is a game-changer.

I noticed all my bright ideas come when I am not distracted.

If this is too scary you can play soft music.

The goal is to start your Sunday reset routine peacefully.

4. Journal to clear mental clutter.

We want to realign our energy before we go back into whatever it is we do from Monday to Saturday.

And what better way than a little brain dump journaling session?

If you’re a pro free-flow writer, go ahead. If you need something to work with, here you go.

Sunday reset journal prompts:

  • What’s on my mind right now?
  • How did the week feel? How did it impact me?
  • What am I proud of from this week? (no matter how small)
  • How do I want to feel this coming week emotionally, mentally, and physically?
  • What do I want to let go of before stepping into this new week?
  • What will support me in having a soft, aligned, and intentional week?
  • What am I grateful for as a step into this new week?
  • If I had to give this new week a theme word what would it be?

5. Move your body gently.

I don’t know whether you prefer to exercise in the morning like me or in the evening, whatever the case may be.

I love having a few options for Sunday, such as gentle at-home yoga or pilates, dancing, or a short walk.

Find an array of options you can choose from depending on your energy levels. The goal is to get that blood circulation and energy going.

On this day, opt for light movements, especially if you go hard during the week.

6. Reset your space.

Your house or bedroom is sacred. It’s your safe space and when I don’t really encourage deep cleaning your entire house on this day, tidying up does the trick this could look like:

  • Tidy your living room.
  • Wipe down surfaces.
  • Lightly declutter one zone (like your desk or bag).
  • Switch out linens and make your bed beautifully.

7. A self-care ritual.

Aside from resetting your space and your mind your Sunday reset routine should also include taking care of your body:

  • Have an everything shower ( face mask, dry brushing, body scrub, oiling, moisturizing).
  • Put on a cute and comfy lounge wear set.

8. Nourish your body and soul.

Nourish your body with nutritious food, i.e, a colorful fruit bowl, and your soul with a lovely podcast, film, or read a book.

9. Plan for the week ahead.

It’s time to plan for the week ahead without any pressure.

My favorite hack for any menstruating woman is to use cycle synching to predict your energy levels and thus the tasks to include.

Here’s how you will go about it:

  • List your top three priorities for the week followed by other activities.
  • Assign non-recurring tasks to individual days.
  • Schedule in little rejuvenating activities like a solo date or bubble bath.

10. Have a calm night.

I love having a movie night that I begin earlier so I can sleep early and get that beauty sleep before the week kicks off.

Another lovely way is to spend time with your loved ones through a game night and a lovely dinner.

11. Lastly end your day with reflection.

As an avid manifester, I love to end my day by reaffirming my vision. Currently, my goal is to scale my blog to a successful business that thousands of women read each month, so I hold the vision and the feeling right before I doze off.

Another game changer, other than reflecting on how your day went, is to give gratitude.

An example of a soft Sunday reset routine.

Your feminine energy is deeply honored when you are in flow, being, and softness, and most importantly, it’s supported by your inner masculine energy structure when you plan for the week ahead.

So here’s what a practical reset can look like, feel free to tweak it to your preferences:

  • 9 a.m.- wake up slowly and journal.
  • 9.30-10 a.m. – do gentle stretching.
  • 10 a.m. -have a lovely breakfast.
  • 11 a.m. -do some light cleaning.
  • 1 p.m. -prepare lunch while listening to soft music.
  • 3 p.m.- self-care time (nails, face mask, hair, etc)
  • 7 p.m.- dinner.
  • 8 p.m.- Netflix.
  • 10 p.m. – reflect and turn in.

Parting short.

There you go, my lovelies, an eleven-step Sunday reset routine that you can tweak to fit your personality and lifestyle.
